Carrick-on-Shannon
This lovely town, often identified as 'Carrick' for short, is a center for boating and pleasure-cruising and is located on the River Shannon. It is the county town of Leitrim and is the site on what is thought to be the second smallest chapel in the world. Costello chapel on Main street.

Drumshanbo
Drumshanbo is situated in the shadow of the Slieve Anierin and the Arigna Mountains. Its position at the southern end of Lough Allen makes it a prized angling resort. The surrounding area is mountainous and hilly. It is rich in geological remains including a group of extinct marine animals dating from 275 million years ago.

The Leitrim Way
Sli Liatroma, or the Leitrim Way, is a walk which takes you through some of the more scenic parts of North Leitrim including the Glens of Glencar and Glenade.
